Finding statistics on young people

The United Nations World Youth Report 2007
The report examines the challenges and opportunities for the world's 1.2 biillion young people aged 15 to 24. Young Australians: their health and wellbeing, Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, May 2007
Overviews the health status of young people on issues such as weight, physical activity, nutrition and substance use. It also includes information on factors impacting on health such as family and community environments, environmental factors, socioeconomic factors education and employment. The report also includes a special section on the health and welfare of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.

NSW Students Health Behaviours Survey, NSW Health
Presents information about the health behaviours and attitudes of secondary school students in New South Wales. The survey includes questions on tobacco, alcohol, illicit drug use, and sun protection from the Australian Secondary School Alcohol and Drug (ASSAD) Survey, with supplementary questions on nutrition, mental health, physical activity, and injury.
