  • The Dusseldorp Skills Forum is an independent, not for profit body with a mission to achieve changes needed to enable all Australians to reach their potential through the acquisition of productive skills. In particular, the Forum seeks to improve the learning and work transitions of young Australians by cooperating with communities, industry, government and non-government organisations to generate ideas, research, tools and information, and to build networks of common interest.

    The Youth Mentoring Network is an initiative of the National Youth Mentoring Partnership which consists of four not-for profit organisations (The Smith Family, Dusseldorp Skills Forum, Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia and Job Futures) and the Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. The Youth Mentoring Network aims to work with interested youth mentoring organisations and practitioners to foster the growth and development of high quality mentoring programs for young people in Australia by providing a national base of collaboration, support, guidance and expertise.

  • GP Resource Kit: Enhancing the skills of General Practitioners in caring for young people from culturally diverse backgrounds. This resource Kit, available on the NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent Health's website, is a practical guide to providing health care to adolescents in general practice, with strategies and practical steps that GPs can take being identified.

  • The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released a special article on Young People and Migration in New South Wales, looking at the population change, migration and mobility of young people in New South Wales over the 10 years to 30 June 2003, which has been on the increase since 2000.

  • The NSW Centre for the Advancement of Adolescent Health was establised to create better health and well-being for all young people aged 12 -24 in NSW by partnering with health care, non-government, education, academic, community and advocacy bodies to ensure better adolescent health outcomes.
