  • The Youth Action & Policy Association NSW (YAPA) is is the peak community group working in the interests of young people and youth services in NSW. Membership is open to people aged 12-25, youth services, youth groups and related organisations.

  • The Australian Youth Affairs Coalition (AYAC) is Australia's national youth affairs non-government peak body. It aims to represent the rights and interests of young people at a national and international level.

  • Future Leaders is a national Initiative about leadership and the future of Australia. It seeks to involve, inform and inspire young people.

  • The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is open to 14-25 year olds who want to challenge themselves both physically and mentally. D of E participants design their own program of activities to develop their leadership skills.

  • The YouthActionNet Fellowship Program offers 20 young community leaders the opportunity to participate in a yearlong fellowship program.  The program includes skill building, networking and advocacy, and includes a seven day capacity building retreat in Washington.

  • YouthGAS is is a networking and communication resource for and about young Australians.

  • The Foundation for Young Australians is a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation committed to developing innovative initiatives that support and empower the lives of young Australians aged 12 to 25. FYA provides seed-funding for ideas; proactively seeks co-funding to support initiatives; and helps grant recipients build their organisational capacity to ensure long-term sustainability.

  • Youth 2 Youth runs skills-based workshops in schools, universities, colleges, for councils, and youth organisations, equipping young people with career, enterprise, and business skills.

  • Rotary hosts some youth programs including RYPEN (Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment), which aims to provide young people aged 14 to 16 years with the opportunity to develop their leadership potential alongside their peers in a supportive environment, and RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Award), which is a premier youth leadership development program designed to promote proactivity, personal and professional development of Australian youth who have already been identified with exceptional leadership potential.

  • The Oaktree Foundation is Australia's only aid and development organisation run entirely by young people under the age of 26. With the belief that education is the most powerful force to change the world, The Oaktree Foundation takes action by partnering with developing communities to make educational opportunities reality. Volunteering with Oaktree provides young people with incredible practical skills. Project management, overseeing aid and development projects, leadership and team management, strategy, pitching, public speaking, facilitation, campaigning and communications are at the heart of what volunteers do as Oaktree volunteers.

  • The YMCA's Youth Parliament Program provides young Australians with an insight into government process and the opportunity to actively participate in the parliamentary process. It provides a forum for expression of youth views by policy formation.

  • Guides Australia and Scouts Australia
