Safety on the Net

Chat rooms are a great way to make new online mates. But it's important that you don't put yourself at risk. Read Reach Out's advice for staying safe online, or check out Net Alert's Safety Tips for teens.

Young People and the Internet Project - This project is being undertaken by the NSW Ombudsman, and will examine how young people use the internet and new media and how these particular forms of communication can be used to develop relationships that exploit or harm young people.  "We're interested in hearing about any programs you're involved in that might address these issues and any ideas you have for improvements in this area."
