- The Community Relations Commission For a Multicultural NSW (CRC) promotes multiculturalism, ethnic affairs, cultural diversity, community unity and harmony in one of the most culturally diverse States of the world.
- The Ethnic Communities Council of NSW is a non-government peak body which actively promotes the principles of multiculturalism, and lobbies for the development of a culturally inclusive society. The ECC runs annual Youth Leadership Awards for outstanding achievements by young people from a culturally or linguistically diverse background.
- The Multicultural Youth Network provides a forum for young people with a personal commitment to the values of multiculturalism who are keen to share their ideas with other young people and with all levels of government.
- The Multicultural Disability Advocacy Association of NSW (MDAA) is the peak body for people from a non-English speaking background (NESB) with disability and their families and carers in NSW.
- Every year a lot of foreign students, that is, students who are not citizens or permanent residents of Australia, come here to study. They can be exchange students at high school or studying at TAFE, universities or other places. Foreign students require special permission called a student visa to study in Australia.
