  • 1800 RESPECT - A National Sexual Assault, Family & Domestic Violence Counselling Line is for any Australian who has experienced, or is at risk of, family and domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Professionally qualified, specialist counsellors will provide counselling, information, advice and referrals to relevant local services.   • Date rape is when someone you know socially (e.g. a boyfriend, a friend of a friend or someone you meet at a party) forces you into sex against your wishes. The About Date Rape website has info about how to get help if you or a friend has been a victim of date rape, tips on avoiding potentially unsafe situations, and helpful contacts and resources.
