Better Futures program consultations

Thank you to everyone in the community who has submitted comments and responses to the discussion paper as part of the review process. The online discussion forum is now closed for comments (see below).

The Minister responsible for Youth Affairs, Victor Dominello MP, has announced a comprehensive review of the Better Futures program.

Minister Dominello wants to ensure that the Better Futures program aligns with the Government's social policy principles, and that there is strong and genuine input from young people, youth organisations and other participants in the youth sector on the priorities and issues it addresses.

Minister Dominello has asked that there be an open discussion on what the Better Futures program should look like and where it should be focused.

To ensure that as many young people and youth sector organisations as possible have an opportunity to participate in this process, an open forum and a series of meetings with youth sector networks will be held in July and August.

In addition, the Office of Communities will also host an online forum to facilitate discussion on the opportunities provided by this review.
