MCEETYA news: Setting educational goals for young Australians
The Ministerial Council on Education, Employment, Training and Youth Affairs (MCEETYA) website states that "Australian Education Ministers in collaboration with the Catholic and independent school sectors are developing a new National Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians that will set the direction for Australian schooling over the next 10 years." Public feedback on the proposed draft declaration is invited from both individuals and organisations. Submissions close on Friday 3 October 2008
FIDO has a new page for young people
FIDO, the consumer website of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), has recently updated it's information about young people and money. You can log on to the FIDO website to read FIDO's financial tips and safety checks on budgeting and saving, credit cards and debt, investing, insurance, superannuation, and tips on financial decisions you may need to consider when moving out of home, getting a new job, studying, or buying a car.
